About Us

Macao Productions is a Guatemala-based film and photography production company dedicated to creating high-impact visual stories that connect brands, causes, and audiences through emotion.

Founded by conservation photographer and filmmaker Sergio Izquierdo, a National Geographic contributor and member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP), Macao Productions was built on a clear vision: to use the language of cinema and documentary filmmaking not only to reveal reality, but to create a meaningful connection between a message and the people it reaches.

Our roots are in nature and conservation, but our evolution has led us to bring that same level of storytelling and cinematic craftsmanship into the world of advertising and branded content.

We believe the most powerful campaigns are not the ones that sell—they're the ones that make people feel.

That is what sets us apart. We translate our clients' values and goals into authentic stories that evoke genuine emotion. We don't create traditional advertisements; we craft visual narratives with soul, where every image has intention, every story has purpose, and every project is designed to leave a lasting impression.

From Guatemala to the world, we produce documentaries, institutional campaigns, commercial content, educational films, and social impact projects, always maintaining a cinematic standard and a human-centered approach shaped by years of fieldwork in communities and vulnerable ecosystems.

Our productions have taken us to tropical rainforests, oceans, deserts, protected areas, and culturally complex regions across Latin America, Africa, Europe, North America, and Antarctica. This global experience allows us to approach every project with authenticity, striking visual aesthetics, and storytelling that is deeply human.

At Macao Productions, we don't tell stories just to fill screens.

We tell stories to move hearts, inspire minds, and amplify messages that deserve to be remembered.
